Yes, picnics are allowed in the gardens only. No BYO picnics in the cafe/courtyard please.

Unfortunately we cannot permit pet dogs. Service dogs are accepted.

We are open 7 days a week every day of the year excluding Christmas and Boxing Day.

You don’t have to book to visit the gardens or cafe. However we ask that larger groups (6+ people) call ahead so we can plan staffing accordingly.

We have the Japanese variety Wisteria floribunda ‘Longissima’ in our wisteria arbour and courtyard area. It was first planted in the arbour in 1999.

Our Wisteria floribunda ‘Longissima’ blooms every year for around 4 weeks, usually starting around mid October depdending on weather.

Our cafe is a kiosk style cafe. We offer light meals of sandwiches, toasties, pies, sausage rolls/spinach rolls and pasties as well as a selection of cakes, tarts, muffins and cookies. We have a good range of gluten free cakes, and some delicious vegan desserts. If you require lunch for a group, please call ahead so we can ensure we cater for you.

Yes they are, the gardens have been designed with wheelchairs in mind. The paths are packed granetic sand.

Yes, we have both disabled and ambulant toilets.

No, however there are many attractions children enjoy at Alowyn like the fish ponds and Labrynth maze.

We have a parents changing table available for use in the disabled bathroom.

Yes! We have delivery available to get those larger items to you. Fees apply, please call to enquire.

No, you do not need to purchase a ticket to enter the Wisteria Cafe or Nursery areas. Tickets only need to be purchased for entry into the 7 acres of display gardens.
