We hope to convert most of the property not used for the garden nursery and living into an oak tree forest.

The aim is to plant 4000 oak trees by 2027. Oak trees are slow growing shade and timber trees that absorb

and store large amounts of carbon both above and below the ground over an estimated life span of 60-200 years.

We have chosen Oaks rather than native trees due to their fire retardant capacity and long life span.

As of the beginning of 2026, we have planted 3000 trees. This is approximately 75% of our goal.
